Job title: Coordinator- Web Content Development (0124)
Within the framework of the Digital Skills for Youth Program, coordinated by Communautique, anteism is looking for a Coordinator of Web and Social Media Marketing. anteism is an arts publishing company based in Montreal. We collaborate with visual artists to create limited edition and trade publications. anteism also operates a project space / gallery located in the Mile-Ex district.
In the current context, in accordance with government directives related to COVID-19, anteism seeks to develop new content which reflects and supports the companies’ aesthetics and goals, publish this content to the web, and increasingly engage with international audiences via social media.
Job Description:
The selected applicant will be responsible for social media management at anteism, working in collaboration with in-house designers as well as artists and their teams to develop an online presence for anteism as well as specific project based book releases. On a daily basis, the participant will work with the anteism team to plan, organize, evaluate the design, and continually development both anteism.com website and social media platforms.
The participant will take care of research and content writing, digitization, editing, computer graphics, uploading, as well as management and engagement with social networks, identifying new partnerships and potential clients. The participant will also be responsible for the online marketing launch of 1-2 books.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Management and adaptation of the 2021-22 programming:
- Coordinate relations with artists to develop content.
- Plan and strategize content promoting the anteism web platform, publishing catalog and upcoming books.
- Produce digital content highlighting various events, projects and books.
- Increase the visibility of company content through creation and management of content; Write and integrate content on various platforms, research and produce photographic and video visuals for social networks, participate in the integration of content on the company’s website, plan the content and the deployment of newsletters.
- Maintain and energize virtual communities in social networks
- Use of Photography of special projects for sharing to social media;
- Build off a previously established Marketing Plan which identifies target demographics and company direction.
Qualifications required:
- Proven skills applicable to social media and web communications
- Excellent written French and English
- Working knowledge of Adobe Design Suite.
-Comfortable capturing photos with digital SLR and retouching for web.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the internship
- A post-secondary graduate
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
- Not in receipt of Employment Insurance during their internship
- Self-assess as underemployed, meaning you are unemployed, employed below your level of education and/or hold part-time employments.
- Cannot currently be enrolled in post-secondary studies or do this internship as a credited work experience within the context of post-secondary studies
